MICKEY MANTLE
In 1974 Mickey Mantle was introduced into the Hall of Fame for his distinguished career spanning from 1951 to 1968. He broke into the major league at the age of only 19 on April 17th. He played his entire career for the New York Yankees as a center fielder, right fielder, and first baseman. Also known as “The Commerce Comet” or simply “The Mick” he was and is considered by many to be one of the all-time greats.
